DID YOU KNOW?
Idaho Department of Fish & Game along with
Pheasants Forever sponsored a youth pheasant hunt in early
November. Numerous SRSGDA members and dogs provided the cadre
of volunteers ensuring that each and every young hunter harvested a big
rooster.
The Youth Pheasant hunts Dec 2 &
3 with Little Canyon Shooting provided a great experience for young
hunters, their parents, and club members. Approximately 50 young men
and women experienced the thrill of hunting behind well-trained
pointing dogs, flushing and shooting a bird, and of course, learning to
clean a pheasant! Kudos to club member Sonny Hairston for
hosting the event and to the SRSGDA members participating with dogs, as
shooting coaches, and all around volunteers!
All
results from the fun trials are posted on the website within a very
short time following an event. The website is updated
regularly and upon demand when YOU,
a member have information to share! This is a way for you to
retrieve old newsletters, learn about upcoming events, see/post
pictures of club members, dogs, and so forth.
Fall Follies 2006 –
Little Canyon ShootingPlummer,
Idaho was the place to be in September as the “battle for the
big chukar” continued into the evening hours! Congratulations
to Jerry Youmans and Bailey (GSP) in the final run against stalwart
challenger and runner-up Gary Gage. Many, many thanks to all the
volunteers, to the Little Canyon Shooting staff (Carol and Jack), and
to all the SRSGDA members that made this event a success.
Pictures
from this great event are available
here.
