Sporting Clays
Club President Bart Dearborn is organizing and chairing this event set
for a summer Saturday at the newly opened Little Canyon
Shooting’s sporting clays course in Plummer, Idaho.
09:00 a.m. morning start with options to shoot 50 or 100
targets. Brown bag lunch or snack on your own –
club will provide water/beverages.
Directions:
Take Hwy 95 north out of Moscow (toward Coeur
d’Alene. At mile marker 390, head east (turn right
)on Minaloosa Valley Road for approximately 5.1 miles. The
headquarters house (old yellow ranch house) will be on your left. See

The location is the farm (and home) of club members Jack and Susie
Flack, 2732 Snow Road off Hwy 95 south of Moscow. Two separate fields
will be planted – “A” for the
“puppies” and “young-at-heart”
handlers, and, “B” for those with a little
competitive interest. Braces are limited and are
quickly filling up! Please register early – before

Directions
to Flack's Field: Heading south out of Moscow, ID go 2.5
miles past Columbia Tractor (the John Deere dealership) on highway 95.
Turn right (west) on Snow Road. Continue on Snow Road past
the shop(s) and farm home. Watch for club signs along the way!
Details about the Fun Trial:
* Volunteers should arrive no later than
6:45 a.m.
* Same day registration will begin at 7
a.m.
* Training session will begin at 7:30
a.m.
* The first brace will start at 8:00 a.m.
Volunteers just like YOU are needed to ensure our club’s
success! We are seeking volunteers to help set up and tear
down. We need an additional four more volunteers to assist
with planting birds. Others are needed for score keeping, filling water
tanks, collecting registration, tracking down brace mates, and so
forth. For specific job descriptions and to request your own
special assignment as a trial volunteer, please give Ed a call
(208-798-4450). (Volunteers will receive a complimentary lunch and a
big thank you!)
Lunch is to be a potluck – always a delicious
affair. Please bring a main dish, dessert, salad or side dish
to share. Minimal donation of $2.00 will cover the
club’s costs for paper products, utensils and beverages.
A training session on dog hydration and conditioning will be held prior
to the first brace…Can YOU and YOUR DOG handle the heat of
the hunt?

** HILLTOP'S GERWITTER "STORMY" and WILDRIVER AUDOBONNE LEE - "BONNIE"
are expecting a new litter of pups in mid-August. This is a
repeat breeding of Stormy and Bonnie. Bonnie/Stormy pups have attitude,
personality, are very birdy and possess a strong desire to please ~ all
the qualities needed to become NSTRA Champions and hunting companions.
At the Northwest Regional NSTRA Field Trial this year, Stormy, a 6X
Champion, finished as 4th runner-up. Placing as 2nd
runner-up, was a two year old Stormy/Bonnie pup, “JESSE" LEE
TOO, a 1X Champion and 1st runner-up was earned by the proud mother to
be – Bonnie. Additional references are available on
request. Litter pick's are based on the date $100.00 deposits
are placed. Top litter pick is $1000.00; all others are

Setter puppies:
TWO (2) HOF CH Tekoa Mountain Sunrise grandsons are
available. Whelped May 26, 2004, out of Maggie’s
Bend by Flashy Southern Arrow – this is the best of Sunrise
and Crockett bloodlines. SRSGDA club member Dick Chapman
formerly owned “Maggie”.
“Arrow” is the sire of 6x champion
J’Bar’s Flashy Pepper – the #3 dog in
NSTRA competition in the nation. These pups should
do everything naturally! Littermates to the remaining two
males have found their way across the Palouse to new homes with SRSGDA
club members Dick Chapman and Paul McCawley.

A roving reporter, or six, to provide salient and scintillating sagas
of SRSGDA members’ adventures in training, trialing, and
traipsing a-field (hunting)…I guess we could also include
trap! Any thoughts are appreciated; pictures are nice; can be
